1960s

The Rizzo company was founded in Italy in the 1960s thanks to the strength, vision, and passion of Elio Rizzo. From the beginning, his mission was to combine craftsmanship and quality by offering frames with attention to detail. The activity developed as a true artisan workshop, where the production process—from the initial design to the choice of materials and final assembly—was followed with extreme precision and dedication. Each pair of glasses produced is unique and reflects the value of manual work, a symbol of Italian artisanal excellence.

1970s

During the 1970s, the company began to gain recognition beyond local boundaries, thanks to constant attention to quality and innovative design. It was during this period that the Rizzo artisan workshop participated for the first time in MIDO, the most important international eyewear fair. On that occasion, they proudly presented the first frames made with colored sheets, a revolutionary idea for the time. This step marked the beginning of a new phase for the company, increasingly oriented towards creative experimentation and the enhancement of the product as an expression of style and identity.

In the 1990s, Gianluca Rizzo, the founder's son, joined the company, bringing new energy and a more modern vision of the market. Convinced that the quality of artisanal production should be accompanied by a direct relationship with the end customer, he decided to expand the activity to include distribution. Thus, the first Rizzo-branded stores were born, aiming to offer not only products but also personalized service and professional advice. This choice marked a turning point and began to build what would become a solid retail network.

Today, Centro Ottico Rizzo has 12 stores across the territory, becoming a reference point for those seeking high-quality glasses and a professional shopping experience. In each store, the spirit of the original workshop is still felt: alongside the most prestigious international brands, there are selected handcrafted frames and Rizzo-branded collections, produced internally and finished by hand. Attention to detail, elegance of forms, and quality of materials remain the pillars of a project that has managed to grow while staying true to its roots.
